As a project for Zone G, Lions from the Lake Jackson, Manassas Host, Manassas Lioness and Park West clubs made no-sew blankets to give to shelters such as Action in Community Through Service (ACTS) and SERVE Family Service in Manassas.
We met at Park West Community Center on October 23, and we made 16 no-sew blankets. Lion Karen Thompson made 5, Manassas Lioness and Lion Lisa Winch made 4, and Manassas Host members made them at home. Our total was 25 blankets!
After completing the blankets, ice tea and cookies made from cake mixes were served.
