In October, 2007 the Park West Lions Club became a satellite eyeglass recycling location for the Lions Eyeglass Recycling Center of Northern Virginia (LERCNOVA). Since that time, we have processed and recycled over 88,000 pairs of eyeglasses and turned them into LERCNOVA for distribution to needy individuals around the world. Our recycling program is currently conducted on the second and third Wednesday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Anyone interested in participating in our recycling program can contact Lion Evelyn at 703 969-2722.
We also accept donations of used eyeglasses for recycling. Eyeglasses can be dropped off at the Park West Lions Club Community Center, located at 8620 Sunnygate Drive, Manassas, VA 20109. Glasses can be left on the bench if the center is not open. Glasses can also be dropped off at the following locations.
